Remember That Guy That Gave Up? Neither Does Anyone Else….

Happy Friday!

I hope you’ve had a great week and have some exciting plans for the upcoming weekend.

I don’t have a long letter for you today, rather it’s a short – but very powerful – message that I thought was worth sharing.

As I was procrastinating working recently, I came across this extraordinary quote:

“Remember that guy that gave up? Neither does anyone else.”

Simple, yet direct.

Powerful.

In 10 words this quote completely changed my outlook for the day and – hopefully – my entire life.

After thinking about it for several minutes, my creative juices started flowing so I wrote a short follow-up.

This is what I came up with:

Life loves to throw obstacles at as us. It’s natures way of trying to push our buttons and see how much we’ll put up with; like a little brother (i.e. me), of sorts.

What’s important to remember is that our failure’s – when used appropriately – breed success. Each and every mistake leads us one step closer to achieving our goals. That being the case, it makes no sense to give up when times get tough…that’d be like quitting a race (even though you’re winning) just because you start to get winded, your shoelace comes undone, and someone yells “you suck!” from the side-line.

Keep going. Keep pushing. Never, ever, ever quit. Allow your failures to facilitate your success and don’t look back.

Ever.

I hope this quote resonates with you as much as it has with me.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Never Minimal. Never Maximal. Always Optimal.

-J
